Is Jones Really Too Big to Be a Light Heavyweight?
August 31, 2012
I have always been a huge sports fan. You name the sport, chances are that I'm a fan.
Ever since UFC 1, Mixed Martial Arts became my passion.
I also love the old American favorites: Football, Baseball, Basketball, Hockey and Boxing. But to me, Mixed Martial Arts is the purest form of athletic competition that there can ever be while still remaining legal. No ball, no goalie, no basket. Just raw ability vs raw ability.
I write because I have a lot of opinions and I have no intention of keeping them to myself. So I guess the writing bug just comes naturally to me. My fondest goals for my writing:
1.) To help make Mixed Martial Arts the most popular sport in the world.
2.) To exert my jedi mind control powers on the people running college football -- one day forcing them to do the right thing and create an NCAA Division 1A Playoff System.
If I'm ever lucky enough to make a lot of money from any of it, that would be great, but it's not a priority. Everyone should make a living doing what they love, and I love writing about sports. But whether it's for free or for money, I will remain passionate and opinionated about sports, and I'll just keep on writing about them.
I live with my wife, son and daughter about two hours west of Chicago. I work in IT in a major corporation's data center.
Formerly known by the alias Ed J Pickle McNasty III -- was funny for awhile, but I just decided to go with my real name.
Missing your opinion on here. You should grace the mma page with an article sometime soon!
Oh ok congrats man
Why have u not wrote lately?
Hey Kevin.
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know you're my absolute fav person to read on here.
I didn't realize how many articles you have written till I just now came to your page. I don't comment a whole lot but I've been on here a long time and I'm a major lurker.
I read BR MMA at least 6 times a day and any time I run across one of your comments I make sure to read it and 99.999% of the time am nodding my head in agreement with you.
I love your logical and analytical approach and the balance you seem to view subjects. You def realize that the world isn't fair, companies do what's in their best interest and you understand that and accept it instead of just ranting uselessly, you're polite and courteous to everyone, you counter peoples points and acknowledge when someone makes a good one themselves. I'd love to read more from you.
Keep up the good work on here and don't fall into Snowdens, Chaelistic, dark side path to reads! lol.
Wack

So I commented on one of your posts the other day saying that you should be a lead writer at a sports magazine (and I wasn't kidding). Now I see that you write articles on here, looking forward to reading them as I always enjoy (and normally agree with) your views on all things MMA!
Love your factual and logical approach to mma. Keep on doing your thing man and write another article!
hey Kevin when r u going to write another article? Really looking forward to it. I would love to see your p4p ranking and your p4p ranking of the best ever.
hey Kevin I just wanted to give you some props for writing one of my fave articles on this site about Super Heavyweights so long ago (Feb 2010) it was the first time I ever heard of Bleacher Report but I found it randomly a few months ago and because of that article I stuck around here
Thank you for adding my article as a favorite. It didn't quite generate the traffic I was hoping for but was a fun piece to write nonetheless.
