I've always been a big sports fan. I was brought up on the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and Xavier Musketteers basketball. I've also been involved in dozens of sports from soccer to football to basketball to wrestling; each one has something to offer, but the sport that's really captured my passion is mixed martial arts. For the last few years, I've been following the UFC pretty much religiously, and recently I have been able to start training and learning the techniques. Since I've started college, I've been trying to figure out a career field that won't cause me to hate my life when I'm 40 and thus far, none of them have really interested me. However, it recently dawned on me that I should work for a career in sports, more specifically, MMA. I'm currently at Saint Louis University as a freshman, but I'll be transferring back home to my native Cincinnati Xavier University for my sophomore year with a new major: sports marketing and management. With this new direction, I've been feeling the need to do things that enhance my knowledge in MMA, so I've been reading a lot of online articles. I saw an ad for the Bleacher Report on the side of my facebook page, and it told me that I could write about MMA. Here I am.
