I'm just a mild mannered person who really appreciates sports. However, I'm also a highly opinionated person who is a little bit sick and tired of the way athletics are these days.
When did it become necessary to embarrass opponents, not just defeat them? When did it become all about the money, not about the game? Furthermore, when did sports become so important to our nation that we worship athletes? Do they really deserve all those millions of dollars when they could be used towards education or helping impoverished countries?
There are a lot of things wrong with athletics, and I would love nothing more than to see a few of them corrected.
On another note, I'm a pretty agreeable, laid back dude. I love hanging out with people, and when I'm not watching sports, I tend to love anything music related. I'm also currently a Rock Band star, baby!
I hail from Central Mississippi, and there's hardly anything I love more than good ol' Southern culture. I also try to stay involved in making Jackson, MS a better place to live. You should visit sometime!

Favorite Athletes
Pistol Pete, George Gervin, Dr. J, Walter Peyton, Jerry Rice, Brett Favre, and I especially love anyone who pops out of my home state of Mississippi (i.e. Jerious Norwood)
Favorite Sports Teams
The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the New Orleans Saints, while the Cleveland Cavliers are my guilty pleasure. Don't tell anybody, but sometimes I really root for Southern Miss pretty hard.
All Time Sports Moment
1996 NCAA Tournament, when Mississippi State, led by Darryl Wilson, shut down Ray Allen and beat UConn. They ended up going to the Final Four that year.
Most Memorable Game Attended
I've been to a number of big State football upsets and huge plays, many of which will never be known by the public. Anybody recall what we State fans know as the Immaculate Interception?
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Pistol Pete's scoring record, methinks. Non sports record? The insurmountable amount of awkward conversations I create.
Ruth or Mays?
Neither are coming back from the dead anytime soon.

Marino!....I mean, Montana. Whoops.

Pele. I honestly don't recognize the other guy.

Hey Joseph,
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
