Matt graduated from Grand Valley State University with a double major in marketing and management. It was here he fell in love with sports writing and has contributed his opinions to a couple of different blogs. He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in a town called Ishpeming.

He played pretty much every sport growing up except for hockey. He's an obsessed sports fan, and can't fall asleep at night unless he's watching ESPN. His areas of expertise are the NFL and NBA, but has dabbled in some MLB. He has a soft spot for the Vikings, Bucks, Brewers, and Tigers, but follows every mainstream sport pretty vehemently.

He also never talks about himself in the third person.
