Erik grew up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, where he learned to bleed black 'n gold. He is a lifelong sports fan in general, and an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports in particular. Regardless of record, he will always love the Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, and Penn State football. He loves college sports in general and follows many schools in football, basketball, and baseball. The proud tradition of Western Pennsylvania football is also an area of interest to Erik.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns; January 5, 2003 @ Heinz Field After being down 24-7 late in the third quarter, the Stillers rallied back to defeat their most hated rival in the wild-card round of the playoffs, in the snow, in front of a raucous home crowd. The comeback began with an interception by Mike Logan as the Browns were driving towards putting the game out of reach.
