About Alvin »

My name is Alvin Rucker. I'm a graduate from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Married for 14 years to a beautiful lady named Kelli...we have a son named Dylan(he's a budding sports fan/athlete - he's a starting DB for his pee-wee league football team). I'm not a professional writer but, I am a professional fan of college sports. I love reading articles about my teams (i.e. UNC tarheels and UGA football)...so it looks like I have found a forum to share my views with other fans...I am also a fair weather fan of pro sports (Atlanta Hawks, Braves, Falcons)...as you can see I'm from Georgia...you may ask, where did the love for the tarheels come from?...well, I was 10 years old and saw Michael Jordan and the 'heels win a championship and I was hooked! I loved how Dean Smith coached and the poise/mystique of UNC basketball. So there you go...I remeber players like (Popson, Jimmie Black, Ramzino Smith, JR Reid, Buzz Petersen, Steve Hale...just to name a few)...these guys never made it big in the NBA but gave us 'Heels fans some moments to remember...go heels!
