I grew up an hour from Atlanta, and I'm a lifelong Braves fan. I already was cheering for the Braves early on, but it's probably no coincidence that my coming-of-age as a fan happened as the Braves started their championship run in 1991. In high school, for a time, I wanted to go into sports journalism. I ended up taking another route, but I see this as a possible chance to get into writing about sports at least as a hobby.
