For the last four years, Ryan worked as a staff sports writer for the Suburbanite Newspaper in Summit County, Ohio. He have also dabbled around on several web sites covering the Indians, Browns, Cavaliers, Buckeyes and Golden Flashes.
Currently, Ryan is now attending Kent State (newspaper journalism) and is writing for Kent's athletic website, kentstatesports.com.
Ryan now owns and operates a baseball blog, turnpikebaseball.blogspot.com, along with his co-writer, Jake Corcoran.
Truth-be-told, I much prefer writing about the big three in Cleveland than Kent or Ohio State. As an optimistic realist Cleveland fan, I know heartbreak, and plenty of it. Pitt over Cleveland in 2003, Spurs/Celtics/Magic over Cleveland the last three years, Sox over the Tribe in 07--and of course the constant futility of the 20th century Cavs, and the devastation of the 90's Indians and 80's Browns.
But, the successes still stand out--The Browns run to the playoffs in 2002, the Cavaliers defeat of Detroit in 2007, the Indians taking down of the Evil Empire just a few months later, and the Browns finally winning the Turnpike Rivalry in 2009.
Not an Indians fan but ranked their top 10 prospects. Trying to get feedback on it since i figure Indians fans know their system a little bit better then me

It's time to prepare the throne, the King has arrived in New York! Lebron James made his only appearance of the season at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks tonight. Take a look.

Looking to fill the last two spots in a competitive (yet free) league. League is mostly filled with B/R writers, would like to set draft for this weekend, need to fill final few spots first. 20 teams total, idp, bragging rights only, but with most owners being on this site bragging rights will be fun. Interested? Hit me up, just need your email and the invite will be on the way.
Why the 2005 Steelers are my all time favorite team, and always will be!

I would love if you could take a few minutes and read, comment if you would like to.
Thanks,

Ha I used to be in the school of communication as an Advertising major. I've since defected to Marketing in the business college. I just write articles when I'm studying in the library or somewhere and want a little break
GO PITTSBURGH (and PSU beat the Buckeyes) haha j/j
Hey man, thanks for the fan-add and I'm giving you one in return to seed future generations ;-)
Enjoy the site, it's the best I've found (BY FAR) for this sort of thing.
Andrew
Nope, I've got classes and I'm close to broke too. Maybe one day, haha.
Haha Ryan, welcome to the site.
Ah well as you know, I go to Akron and I don't live in Summit, but I do live in Kent. I just moved to Kent recently, but since I've gone to Akron I've met some people that went to Green.
Yes, definitely involved in a lot of rivalries with my sports allegiances. But I love the Indians possibly the most. Can't wait to see your stuff this year. When the season gets closer and underway we like to do some stuff as an Indians community, so if your around, be on the lookout for some stuff from me. We got a nice community here for the Indians.
Again, welcome to the site and thanks for your add and kind words.
