The Short List What Larry thinks about sport's most pressing questions
-
Favorite Sports Teams
Oregon, SF Giants, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles.
-
Most Memorable Game Attended
Battle of the Bay, World Series, Game 3 (The that was played in full).
-
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
My guess, based on the amount of money, engineering and preparation required, is that most of the Bonneville Salt Flat high speed land records are pretty safe.
-
Ruth or Mays?
Overall I believe Willie Mays was and is a better athlete and role model than the Babe. But, the Babe was the first all-time great baseball player, and no one can take that away from him.
-
Unitas or Montana?
Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana are both greats in their own rights. Unitas is a bit before my time. I remember the "Montana moves." Truly poetry in motion.
-
Gretzky or Orr?
The NHL isn't my thing. Wouldn't know Wayne Gretzky if came through my door.
-
Tiger or Nicklaus?
There's only one "Golden Bear." One day, far in the future we will compare their records, but for now let's leave at "Tiger is an amazing athlete and a living legend."
-
Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?
Without a doubt the Pac 10 is the conference to beat every year. It is the most competitive and consistently produces some of the finest NFL athletes.

Greetings baseball fans and friends!
I present a slide show of events from June 15th, when the Dodgers held an event which allows fans to come onto the field to hit, pitch, and field. There are some behind the scenes shots as well.

Larry,
Thanks for checking it out. You are a USC community member, so I assumed you were a USC fan. Hope you didn't mind.
Of course, I could have just taken the time to read your bio and notice you only write about Oregon... but I was speed posting that day - LOL

Little bit off your regular patch, but though you might be interested in this as I was able to witness some history and talk to a GM, all on the Dodgers dime:

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm just surprised that anybody wants to read this stuff, so the support is great. I tend to need to think about something other than law school every so often, so I'm sure I'll end up writing a few more articles.

Larry,
Was your team one of the many who failed to make the playoffs in 2008? Here's six teams that will bounce back in 09'. Let me know what you think.
