Born in the Redwoods in Northern California, I've made my way down to the sunshine in San Diego. An avid Chargers and Padres fan, I'd consider myself more of a sports enthusiast above all else.
I can't be more thrilled with having the opportunity to continue my education at the University of San Francisco (SoCal campus) with a Master of Arts in Sport Management. The 23-month course started in July of 2010 and will conclude in May 2012.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of San Diego with A Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Highlights at USD included covering the men's basketball program during their most productive season in school history and also serving as a sports department intern at the Union-Tribune newspaper.
I had the pleasure of interviewing San Diego Padres play-by-play announcer Dick Enberg on May 5, 2010.

An interview with friend and former USC and current Cincinnati Bengal linebacker Rey Maualuga was featured on CBSsports.com on the NFL cover page on March 31st, 2009.

Big ups to the Bleacher Report for providing a platform to share my views.

Hey Darren, like your work. IF you've got a chance, take a look at my articles. Thanks!
Darren .....nicely done my friend. Anytime a journalist can spark this much debate, he has hit his mark. I lived in SD for a couple of years, and Baja for another seven. I followed the Pads closely for all of my time in the south. To the core I am a card carrying member of the Brotherhood of the Long Suffering Giant Fans. I will go to my grave cursing Giant GM Brian Sabean. He made Bud Black a hideous offer to manage the Giants , and only after Black signed with the Pads did the fallback become the Padre reject Bochy. I refer to him as" The Bruce " among other things. anyway good healthy discourse. I will enjoy checking in on your other work.
