Alvin's Bio
Alvin is an up-and-comer in the sports world. He helped bring 2 national championships to LSU.
"Before I got to LSU, they hadn't won a championship since 1959. Since my freshman year, they have won 2. The numbers don't lie."
Before LSU, Alvin was the senior leader as point guard of his high school basketball team. Because the school he attended during his junior and senior years did not offer football, he says that his position as point guard made him "like the quarterback of the football team in high school."
Before leaving the heart of Cajun country before his junior year of high school, Alvin played football for 8 years. He was an offensive lineman, having played both guard and center. As a sophomore, he earned 2 quarters of varsity playing time, including time in the state playoffs. At the junior high level, Alvin was the starting guard on a bad team that failed to win a game. However, Alvin was a highly decorated youth football player. During his six years of youth football, he won 3 Super Bowls in 4 appearances, including 2 undefeated seasons. During one of those undefeated seasons, his team's defense allowed 6 points during the 6 game regular season.
Alvin writes about the teams he follows and knows best. His father passed down the love of the Cowboys to Alvin, and he's followed them closely since age 7. Being an alumni, Alvin also closely watches the LSU Tigers. Finally, Alvin also follows his hometown Saints. The only NFL games Alvin has attended were Saints games in the Superdome.
Alvin aspires to one day be one of those LSU alumni that travel to Death Valley every week of an LSU home game in an RV and spend the weekend tailgating and watching his Tigers play.
