Ian's Bio

An ardent football fan since my father took me to his semi-pro games in the late 70's/early 80's. Fortunate to be a season-ticket holder at Aberdeen F.C. during Sir Alex Ferguson's trophy-laden reign, but sadly too young to appreciate the magnitude of the club's achievements at the time.

Spent four years working south of Hadrian's Wall, spending my weekends circling the many professional grounds that London has to offer. Relocated to the US in 2007. Now a season-ticket holder at Houston Dynamo and an avid defender of Major League Soccer.

Regular contributor to Aberdeen F.C.'s award-winning RedMatchday Magazine and founder of www.hawksport.com.

  1. Hey. My first article in a month. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/148196-ronaldo-chokes-yet-again-are-we-surprised

And it's my first on Ronaldo.

    Fire at me.

  2. Here's my first shot at a "soccer" article: Would love to hear your comments:

  3. Thanks for the fan add :)

  4. Hey Ian. No problem. I liked your writing style and your analysis, even though I didn't completely agree with it, was solid, and I respect that.

B/r is a great place. It has many, many faults; no doubt about it. But I remember that before b/r I didn't really have a place to debate like this and have this level of credibility. Everyone's a writer so everyone starts on an equal pegging. So, for me, it's benefits outweigh it's faults.

I know you'll garner some more fans very soon. Best of luck for future articles. I look forward to them. Take care.

  5. The Great Debate is back!

Leading up to David Beckham's potential record equalling cap, this time I'm asking does he deserve it? Does Beckham deserve to equal Moore's record and, if so, will his appearance haul mean as much as Moore's? Have your say in the Great Debate!

    Cheers,
    Barney
