About

I am a 25 year-old aspiring writer from Fort Worth, TX. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and want to begin my career as a sportswriter on a full-time basis in the very near future. My favorite sports are baseball, football, basketball and soccer. I love to watch and play all of them on a regular basis. I grew up in Sacramento, CA and Kenosha, WI, went to college at Evangel University in Springfield, MO, and now reside in north Texas and trying to get my career in sportswriting off and running. Please read my articles in the future!

Short List

  • Favorite Athletes

Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Patrick Willis, Frank Gore, Buster Posey, Tyreke Evans and Vernon Davis

  • Favorite Sports Teams

San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Sacramento Kings, USC Football, UCLA Basketball

  • Favorite Coaches

Bruce Bochy, Jim Harbaugh, Lane Kiffin

  • All-Time Sports Moment

Watching the Steve Young to T.O. pass to beat the Packers in the 1998 NFC Divisional Playoffs. The "Catch 2" launched T.O.'s career and marked the end of what was a great career for Steve Young (Fact - Rice didn't fumble).

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

At Miller Park during the second to last game of the 2001 season. It was the Cardinal vs. Brewers during Pujols' rookie year. I saw from the 20th row behind home plate Mark McGwire's last Major League home run. Then a few years later, he is embroiled in steroid controversy.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth. I'm a huge Giants fan, but I know Ruth was the greater and more dominant player than #24.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. Johnny U was great and all, but Montana was magic. He holds a superior playing resume and playoffs record. I'm a big Niners fan, but it's a fact that Montana is greater.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Jordan. I grew up watching 23 dominate the entire NBA during the '90s and agree that Jordan is the greater player, except when it comes to rings.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Gretzky. They don't call him The Great One for nothing.

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. Maradona cheater with "The Hand of God." Pele is soccer.

  • Federer or Sampras?

Sampras. He played on a more competitive tennis tour and still has the record for most single titles (14) while Federer is still one behind (13). And I don't think Nadal will let Roger tie or get the record anytime soon.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger no doubt. My first memory of professional golf is watching Tiger own Augusta and the entire field in the '97 Masters by 12 strokes.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Earnhardt. Don't really like Nascar, but I'll go with Dale. If you're not first your last!

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Schumacher. You can't beat that friggin' guy.

  • ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-12 or SEC?

    Pac 10 owns everyone!
