I'm a beach bum. Pure & simple. I have lived in Vah Beach for 20 plus years now and think my parents made a damn good choice when they decided to move here. Went to college, ran out of money so I spent a lil' time in the Army, keep your head down guys/gals, but went back to get my degree and then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service (isn't that the logical transition....get all the trainin' with guns THEN go to work there?). I left the Postal Service and have now gone back to school because quite simply, haulin' a bag of mail around 'til I was in my early 60s didn't seem all that appealing to me.
I was doing a search for the movie online. Found a dvd at bonanza.com. 19.95. Wrapped up, cover art matches my VHS of this.
I read your article on the HBO baseball movie "Long Gone". I think that movie is the best baseball movie ever. If it was first shown in 1987, then the 25th anniversary will be in 2012. I have e-mailed HBO begging them to use this 25th anniversary as an opportunity to release it to DVD. As a member of the media, any ideas on how to generate a groundswell of support for this?
