Doug's Bio
My name is Doug and I could best be described as a guy who started working young and enjoyed life. I enlisted in the USMC at 17 years old. The military provided my college and then sent me to flight school.
I went into the reserves following active duty. . I would recommend the military to anyone.
Following active duty I joined the police department and I'm now retired. While with the Department, I also worked as a body guard within the entertainment business in Hollywood. The aforementioned was during my "off" hours.
The above combined with the military caused me to be away more than at home.
I love watching certain NBA teams, especially the Lakers. I fell in love with USC football in the 10Th grade. I can't give you a specific reason how it happened, but it sure did. Now, I've infected my wife and eldest son with that same love.
Now that I'm retired, I get to spend as much time as I want, at anything I want. My plate is now cleared and I hope to write the rest of the story.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the note. I posted my thoughts on the QB battle b/c I saw a discussion in the comments of one of your articles. Some articles can have many, many comments, so no worries if you don't remember the discussion in your comments. Some of your articles have had some long comments threads!
As for Corp and Barkley, I don't think Barkley has completely won the job yet. He undoubtedly had a great spring but I think Corp still has the inside track for the job. If Barkley doesn't win the starting job, I don't think it's the end of the world. Having Corp under center is certainly nothing to sneeze at. But, I'll be happy as long as we are winning regardless who our signal caller is. I think we have a great shot in Columbus if it is Corp. The big news leading up to that game will be about a mobile sophomore QB signal caller and while everyone will think that will be Terrelle Pryor, it could very well be Aaron Corp at the end of the game.
Keep writing Doug. Enjoy reading your work.

Thanks for the nice compliment Doug. I appreciate the sentiment. I think beating the Sooners this year, even though we get them in Lincoln, might be a a little too much to ask right now.
We will get a shot if the offense doesn't give them TO's and a 24 point cushion to start the game like happened last year.
I am partial, but yes, college ball is more interesting and fun when Nebraska is playing well.
Thanks

Hi Doug,
I had posted some remarks on an article that you were also in on, Zach Zaremba's "Is The Trojan Empire Rule Over?" They were in response to a Norm Fan. It was a fairly long thread and I see that it was deleted. Just wanted to know if you knew what happened to it. I wrote a rebuttal to his remarks as did some other Trojans but I don't see them anymore. Just curious.
BTW, I am another Trojan poster on this site. I've read some of your stuff and enjoy reading your take on our beloved Trojans. I see that we disagree on whether Corp or Barkley will be the starting QB so maybe we will just settle for a gentleman's bet on who is going to win the job. As long as the Trojans keep winnning, I'll be happy whoever is under center.
Hope to read more of your articles and comments. I enjoy them.
