Aki's Bio

I was initially a casual fan of MMA back in early 2000s but my interest and appreciation of the sports have grown over time.

I am currently a feature writer for Inside Fights (http://insidefights.com/)

Besides MMA, I also follow baseball and football. Having lived in San Diego, CA for much of my adolescence, I am a loyal fan of Padres and Chargers. I attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY (as popularized by the movie, "Road Trip" and the hometown to the nerdiest-looking MMA fighter, Tamdan McCrory) and currently reside in San Francisco Bay Area - despite drifting from place to place, my team affiliation remains strong. Also, once every four years, in Olympics and World Cup, I root for Japanese athletes/national team, as I am originally from Japan.
