james's Bio

James Lawrence is my name and Im a sophomore in college at Edinboro University. I am currently a sports broadcasting major, with an athletic administration minor. I love sports to death they are my life. When I was in college I came up with a quote for myself "If I can't make a career playing sports I want to get paid to talk about them." I live by that. Everything I do revolves around sports. Sports have made me into the person I am today.

All Time Sports Moment

1.) Watching Brett Favre win Super Bowl 31 over the New England Patriots 35-21. I remember it like it was yesterday, just watching the young Favre gunsling passes left and right. 2.) The night that Brett Favre's dad died. Brett decided to play the monday night game against the Raiders. I was crying the whole city was in tears. Brett went out and played the game of his life. Threw for four touchdowns and 399 yards that night. I still get chills.

Most Memorable Game Attended

The most memorable game I ever attended was the Green Bay Packers against the New York Giants. I saw the last game of Favre's career in person and that is something I can take to my grave. I grew up watching him studying his games and analyzing his play. So it was an honor to share his last game with him.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

I feel the most unbreakable record in sports is the 56 game hitting streak set by the very talented Joe DiMaggio. With the elevation of play by pitchers now it is almost impossible. The closest I've seen was Casey Blake with i believe close to 20.

Ruth or Mays?

Thats a very tough comparison but overall I am going to have to go with the slugger and pick Babe Ruth.

Unitas or Montana?

Montana, and the reason being is because players got so much better by the time Montana came along. Football has changed so much and the elevation of skill and talent is remarkable, and to do what Montana did was pretty special.

Pele or Maradona?

Pele no comparison. Pele is the greatest soccer player ever. Enough said.

Jordan or Gretzky?

Micheal Jordan is arguably the greatest athlete to ever pick up a sport. I know its not cut and dry because all sports have different talents and skills required. Micheal is what you consider obviously the greatest person to ever touch a basketball, and Gretzky is the greatest to ever touch a puck. If I am picking I would have to stay with the high flyer in Micheal Jordan hands down.

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

The Big 10 is the most competitive league by far. Think of the schools in it, you have the four powerhouses right away Ohio State,Michigan,Wisconsin, and Penn State. There are just to good of programs to over look the Big Ten as the hardest division in college sports.
