Michael 's Bio
I'm a native of Santa Cruz, California, and grew up watching the San Francisco 49ers when they were the best team in the NFL. The first game I remember being excited about watching was Super Bowl XIX, when I was 7 years old. Due to the hard work and dedication of my Dad, I became a die-hard 49ers fan starting with the 1985 season. Thanks Dad! Later I became a baseball and hockey fan. After growing up in Santa Cruz I joined the Navy, and after getting out to go back to college stayed here in Norfolk, Virginia. Currently I'm pursuing my masters in International Studies at Old Dominion University.

Michael,
I thought you might like this piece. It’s a personal look back at the Florida Marlins incredibly shocking upset of the New York Yankees in the 2003 World Series.

This article was originally published in support of Relay for Life. If you have read this before, then I apologize, but please considering donating at least $1 to Make a Wish in the memory of Josiah Herring. In light of several recent events I felt compelled to revisit cancer awareness and have not had the time for a new article. I Promise to have a new article out soon in support of the cause.
Thank you everyone!
