I can understand why people would interpret it that way, but I stopped for a minute, thought about it, and then realized he definitely was talking about the drug test. I don't think he'd be an MMA journalist if he thought the job of the people who he covers is easy.
Probably wasn't my place to reply to you, but I was on Jeremy's page and saw the comment and thought since he's one of the top writers on the site, he won't reply to you so I'd just clear it up.

Dude, I just saw your comment on Jetemy Botter's page. He did not say fighting was the easiest job in the world, he said passing the drug test is the easiest job in the world. You all took what he said way out of context.

Thanks for the back-and-forth. I guess I am used to such crazy things (IMO) being said by both MMA writers and fans, that I end up responding whenever I feel like they really go over the top. B/c they do this on occasion, I am prepared to take seriously those things that I probably ought to just dismiss as a case of poorly-chosen words.
Another example is the whole ‘Jon Jones knee kick’ about which Rampage Jackson is critical. The controversy really frosts me. That kick can ruin a career based on everything I’ve read, and members of the media and fans are arguing that it should actually be allowed. Really? REALLY?! Does this response look familiar?! :)

Having just admitted that I was mistaken (oddly- some people find this hard to do), can I suss this out without sounding like I am just being defensive or intellectually stubborn?
If so- then let’s take a quick look at Jeremy’s actual wording: “ Your only f****** job is to pass a drug test and fight. This is the easiest job in the entire world.” Based on his choice of wording- can you see why it is that I interpreted it the way that I did?

You say that fighting is “the easiest job in the world.” Really? REALLY?! I have survived a LOT of horrible things in my life, but I certainly don’t have enough of what it takes a LOT OF to be a fighter. Not even close.
In fact, Dana White just declared that he believed that 99% of the male population didn’t have what it took to be a fighter (he was alluding to Meisha Tate’s ‘true-grit’ performance in her fight against Ronda Rousey). I would go so far as to say that ANY job that precludes 99% of the male population due SOLELY to its mental and physical demands is NOT, prima facie, an easy job.
