All-Time Sports Moment
(I'm going with MY sports moments) I cannot pick one! But at the top of this list would be the Cardinals winning World Series in 2006. That was the happiest day of my life. I still can't believe they won. Ok, so after that: Rams winning Superbowl in 1999, Jim Edmonds Walk off HR in '04 NLCS, Cardinals winning the pennant in '04, Pujols walk off HR in '05 NLCS in game 5 off of Brad Lidge, Molina's go ahead HR against Mets in game 7 of '06 NLCS, Wainwright striking out Beltran in game 7 of '06 NLCS. I know this won't be popular, but Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa's single season HR chase was electric and made me fall in love with baseball (I was 14 and just returned from living in a 3rd world country). The night McGwire hit 62 was magic. I know it's not pure now, but I have to give credit to the moment.
Most Memorable Game Attended
Edmonds walk off HR in 2004 NLCS game 6 to force game 7 tops them all.Picture this: Two Muslim girls during Ramadan haven't eaten all day (Check 'Ramadan' in Encyclopedia to understand the reason for this). The game was so intense, especially for the last 5+ innings (and especially going into extra innings!), that we couldn't bear to leave our seats and buy food. Pure adrenaline kept us going until that blast by Jimmy served as some sort of titanic spark plug to eject us from our seats as we jumped up and down, over and over again-high fiving each other and strangers- until we could muster up the willingness and energy (or whatever was left of it) to leave our paradise and catch our first meal past 11 pm that night. I will never forget that pure unadulterated joy for as long as I live. Being there live was what it's all about!
Honorable mention: And at a distant second, Pujols hitting 3 homers on Easter Sunday in 2006, including the game winning walk-off HR. He's so F*cking unbelievable. How lucky are we that he fell into our laps? I still can't believe that talent. It's surreal to watch this hall of fame career unfold.
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Joe Dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak
Ruth or Mays?
Ruth (he could even pitch the crap outta that game)
Jordan or Russell?
