  2. Hey Brandon,

A word to the wise: Internet Explorer 6.0 is a very outdated browser and is bound to give you problems. I'd highly recommend downloading Firefox and using that for all your Bleacher Report stuff: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Give it a try and let me know if you're still having problems...thanks as always buddy.

  3. what goes on Brandon? you still with us?

  4. Brandon—are you still having problems with this? I can see all of the posts, which is really strange...

What browser are you using? (Firefox, Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Safari, etc.) Mac or PC?

  5. Hey Brandon,
I've been swamped lately with work and family stuff. Plus I just got back from a brutal backpacking trip, but I should have some articles up in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the reminder.

  7. Guess who got 2 new Fans? Give Up? ME!, Suprised?.Wait, don't answer that.

  8. Stumpy? very nice. I'm sure my Cuz got the eMail. I sent the whole page in html for him. He's probably counting money somewhere, maybe counting it twice, who knows. He'll get back to me sometime around NC State's opener.

  9. Awesome...appreciate the tip Brandon!

    Thanks again,
    Zander

  10. Solid prediction Brandon, I think 10-6 sounds about right. Can't wait for football to start...

Nice work on embedding the audio file. Would you mind letting me know how you did it?

  11. Same in New York. I've liked them since John Fox took over. I've always valued him as a brilliant coach, and their defense used to be fantastic in the middle of the decade. If their front four played up to expectations the last three seasons, they'd be a perennial NFC South champion. Now Rucker is retired, Jenkins is gone, and Peppers is underperforming and the team has followed suit.

    Plus Carolina's uniforms are beautiful!

  12. Start with position by position with roster changes, expectations, coaching strategy, where they stand in conference vs. opponents.etc.

  13. Hey Brandon,
I like the Panthers better this year than last year. I think they're in the running for the playoffs in the NFC. Their defense will be OK, their offense lives and dies with Delhomme.

  14. Dear Brandon,

My dear 13-yr. old, you are doing a great job and I promise to see your work regularly, sorry to have missed out on some of them off late. Okay, I need to get my autograph book ready so that you can sign it before you hit big time.

One small note, you need to edit the Fantasy Five article as I see this line of code " " in your article. Could have done it, but did not want to disturb the article.

Keep up the great work sport and my best wishes to you always,
    Sarah

  15. Your pic showed a lot of character and it showed your youth...not that you write like a typical 13 y.o., far from it, you write like a future star and I'm gonna bet that you end up a pro at Sports Illustrated, ESPN or something like that.

I think that it's important that B/R has a wide spread of age groups contributing their opinions and learning from each other. You should huddle up with BabyTate for a while and learn at the feet of a master. He's on the CFB page.

When you posted my page earlier in reference to the Laker / Celtic series, you said that you wouldn't write that bold again but I think that's a mistake. You have to be bold in your beliefs and your writing otherwise you're just a blogger. It's not about being right or wrong, it's about touching a nerve in people in a constructive way. It's about eliciting people's opinions and defending your stance on a subject.

In 1990 I was working in a group of people that loved the Oakland A's Bash Brothers and just to be contentious I made an insane bet that the Cincinnati Reds would sweep them in the World Series. Now I did believe that the Reds would win, but a sweep? No freakin' way, so I had to put a 3 page pitching prospectus on the bulletin board on how the Reds would sweep just to cover my butt, probably one of the best things I've ever written outside of love letters to red-heads.

Needless to say, those guys still call me in September for my playoff projections. Did I get lucky? Damn right I did, But...I backed it up with research, objectivity, a gut feeling and great piece of bulletin board fodder that those guys remember to this day.

So, be bold in your predictions, back it up with facts and defend it to the end. it doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong, just that you got off the fence and took a side righteously.
