I am a life long resident of Baton Rouge. While growing up it was Bernard Terrace Elementary, Westdale Junior High, then Baton Rouge High School, and then LSU. If you did anything else your friends were shocked. I hung around the LSU Training center and met and ate with the Football Players from about 8 years old up as my Uncle was head of Broussard Hall (former Dormitory for all LSU Athletes). I had floor side seats behind the scorers table to all LSU basketball games during the Pete Maravich era. So, I knew many of the players and attended all games growing up and of course I started my college education at LSU. However, I went into the Army Reserves after my 3rd semister, and I did not graduate from LSU, but got my degree instead from Southeastern La. University. But, the Purple and Gold has always run deep in my veins and it will until I die.
