Sounds about right to me.
Ok lets finish this once and for all, Forte is currently better than Peterson but overall Peterson is better. Their performances last season support this statement and it is a fact. I will not bring this up again.
Also, you just said here that Peterson's career is better than Forte's because he's been in the league longer. Peterson's only been in one year longer, and when I compared everything I threw Peterson's rookie year out to give both players the same number of years and Peterson's stats were better in most areas. Those are the facts. Peterson's numbers are not better because he's been in the league for a year longer. They are better because he's been the better player on average through the years.
Once again John Carter, read what you wrote. I understand what that article was about, but all you said was that Matt Forte was better than Peterson. How was I supposed to know what year you meant? I'm not a mind reader. Anyhow, Last year yes, Forte was better, overall career, no, Peterson is way ahead. Those are the FACTS I agree with. I misunderstood what time frame you were talking about, get over it. I'm not disagreeing with you about Matt Forte being better last year. He was. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that? Do you understand that yet?
Ok, I'll agree with the facts and you can disagree with the facts.
Whatever. Lets agree to disagree.
The article was about who currently is the most dominating player, not who had the best career. If it was, Brian Urlacher would win but the article was about who is currently the best. I said that Forte is currently better even though Peterson had a better career because he has been in the league for a longer time.
I have no problem with you saying that Forte was better last season. I agree with that, but that's not what you said. You just said Forte is better. You never said when. I will not agree that the Bears o line was worse than the Vikings last season. Forte averaged 4.9 ypc last season. Peterson averages 4.7. Forte did not lead buy a lot. Forte's career ypc is 4.2. Peterson's is 4.8. Also, can you tell me who all these experts are that are saying that Forte is better? Last year yes, Forte was better, but if both these guys careers were over today, do you honestly thing anyone would even compare the two? Nope. Peterson wins and it's not even close.
No, I know Petersen has been better. But the facts and experts all say that Forte is currently better. I'm sorry but it is just a fact. The most important stat is yards per carry which Forte lead by a lot. What do you have to say to that? Throw in more catches, receiving yards, and a worse O-line and its pretty clear. Before last year, Petersen was way better than Forte. Good players can't stay at the same pace forever. I'm done arguing about this because I am stating facts, and you are using biased opinions.
@ John Carter. You didn't say anything about currently. You just said Forte is the better back. Here's exactly what it says. Tell me where you said currently?
Tough call between Johnson and Rodgers. Matt Forte is better than Adrian Peterson. He receives the ball more and gets more yards per carry behind a worse offensive line. Also, he doesn't have a torn ACL... - John Carter
