  Alex your article implying that the refs fixed the call on the last play of the ND-Standford game was way out of bounds. Here's the sequence. 4th and goal on the 1:
  -Taylor dives into the line
  -ND defense stops him dead in his tracks.
  -Ref sees no forward progress and whistles the play dead
  -ND players start to celebrate
  -Taylor wiggles forward and puts the ball over the goal line.
  
  Play is reviewed and can't be reversed because they can't tell when the whistler blew, but it's clear the whistle should have been blown before the ball crossed the goal line because Taylor's forward progress was stopped.
  
  The suggestion that the refs fixed the call is cheap journalism. Big thrill and gins up the conspiracy theorists, but tanks your reputation as responsible sports reporter.
