I'd be happy to look at your sample. You can e-mail it to me at rememberthecoop@yahoo.com if you want.

That's a great idea Chad, I'm down with that. A lot of times we get article topics from our lead editors, but I'm always looking for solid suggestions for the ones I come up with myself. I'll let you know if I decide to tackle it. Any thoughts about writing yourself?

You can write about whatever you want in the sample piece. I just did a short one on Matt Forte and him possibly being out the door -- this was around the time that Michael Bush was signed.

And sure, I wouldn't mind taking a look at your sample before you submit it...

As for odds of being accepted? They report that about 1 in 10 are accepted, but I have no idea how accurate that is. The Featured columnist program is much harder to be accepted into...I'll apply to that eventually, not for a while though...no need haha.

    Hey Chad,

I really think you should take a swing at applying to be a write for B/R, it's a great community and honestly, the editors do a ton to clean up whatever you write.

I think you would bring a ton of good opinions to the Bears community. Give it a shot brother. We could even later try to do come co-written pieces on bigger projects.

Let me know what you're thought are on that.

That's pretty sweet, Chad. It would be awesome if he got a shot at the NFL via a camp invite...

Thanks for becoming a fan Chad! It's much appreciated. The discussions you bring up on the topics I write about are always a great way to explore other ideas the Bears could do to improve. Keep the comments coming my man!

    Thanks again for your support,
