Canadian born. Football scholarship was the only way I could have attended college. Freshman special teamer to LB starter in college. 3 unsuccessful seasons trying to play pro football, unspectacular career as boxer.
Employed in the oil industry for nearly 30 years, working all over the world since 1980. A diehard Packer fan since college. Supporter of USC (weird being from the midwest) at the college level, and a Flames fan in the NHL.
Never followed B Ball, and have given up on boxing.
Now living overseas, paying for NFL and College games on TV to keep in touch with my n American passion.
Avid Fantasy Football player.
Hey Dean,
I haven't written about the Bears for awhile, but I thought you might find my take on Lance Briggs asking for a trade interesting. I hope I'm not being presumptuous with that comment. Check it out and let me know what you think when you have a chance. Thanks.

I would love to get your comments on “With NCAA Amateurism a Joke, Here's How to Fix the Mess” at: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/741984-ncaa-and-amateurism-are-a-joke-how-to-fix-the-college-football-mess
I hope you find that this article finally pulls together the problems with the NCAA and practical solutions that will help the athletes and colleges.
Thanks, Bill
Dean, the comments still aren't working.
Dean -- still isn't working. I'm trying to get in contact with b/r to get it fixed...because I'd LOVE to be able to see your comments!
Dean—your comments always show up here in my "Activity" timeline, but when I go to the article, the comment is never there. I wonder what happens? I've tried responding to your comments—and you know how much I appreciate them—but nothing ever works. We have to get this fixed somehow!

Great win for your Packers. Now on to Dallas and an opportunity to make this Raider fan happy by DESTROYING the Squealers! When Raider fans can't get silver and black wins, they'll settle for Black and YELLOW losses.
I am a Pack fan as of this moment.
Glad to see you back Dean, even though you didn't comment on any of my stuff!
Dean, where have you went? I personally miss your comments here on b/r!
I'm sorry if my article upset you Dean--I do respect your opinion greatly. I only voiced what was on the mind of many fans after the Cushing news broke. And as my poll showed, 50 percent think he took steroids--proving that its something that others have thought. And thats all I said, that it was something I thought about and hoped wasn't true. Didn't accuse him of anything, or USC, or the Matthews family. Again sorry Dean you took this the wrong way. Hope to keep your readership
