    Hi Will,
    I hope I'm not the first one to welcome you to the site, but...welcome! As far as the changes made on your piece, sometimes there will be hardly any changes or none at all. When you write an article, it goes to the editor's queue, where we look it over (mostly for BR style changes) and make whatever changes we see fit. If there aren't any, we rate it, make sure it has a suitable headline and picture, and publish it to the site. However, if you ever aren't sure about changes, you can click on the article's history button, and click 'show changes' to have the changes highlighted.
