Ian's Bio

I am a 24 year old graduate of Angelo State University, which is where I received my two Bachelor of Arts Degrees. One of my degrees is in Communications with an emphasis on Radio and Television, while my other is in the field of Psychology.

I am a resident of San Angelo, TX., where I have spent 23 out of my 24 years of life.

Over the recent years, my affinity for sports has grown exponentially. Along with that affinity, my knowledge of sports past and present has as well. I enjoy learning more and more about all sports, and to have found a venue to express my thoughts and ideas on sports that I enjoy is wonderful.

As far as what sports I enjoy, hockey and bowling (yes, bowling) top the list. Having watched hockey for the majority of my life, played some, and been a season ticket holder to two separate minor league teams, I feel it is something I can really write about, and make it an enjoyable experience to those who read.

Other than all of that, with me it is best to expect the unexpected. There will be instances where I may go on a diatribe about something strange or completely random. Overall I just want to give an enjoyable read to everyone, and also engage people with the same or opposing viewpoints.

  1. Here's a toast to wings fans bitching about a goal being ripped away from them by the hockey gods above. HAHA!

  2. Congrats on living on. If they win Game Five I might think about how that the Wings are one of the two teams (the Pens are the other--weird, huh?) that have lost 3-0 leads every 33 years, having done so 66 years ago...

  3. Thanks for the add

  4. Dallas MUST win in Detroit otherwise they are doomed. Doesn't matter if its Game 1 or 2, in regulation or OT, they have to win in hockey town.

  5. Good to meet fellow Stars fans...We need to take Game 1 in Detriot...really set them on their heels.

  6. This one hurts even more. Congrats on winning one of the best games ever, and I look forward to reading your take. You should check out Ken Armer's Stars' articles and make sure he knows about yours.

  7. That one has gotta hurt, and I really do feel bad for you and my couple other Dallas fans, but not too bad since we gave you two game sin this series. I still think y'all will win game six, but if not, we should pull this thing off.

And (as you will see if you can bear to read my article) yes, I think Morrow's goal shoulda counted, although the call they made is defensible. Makes up for the quick whistle disallowing Marleau's goal in the first period of game three. That's how they are supposed to work--you get hosed, then the other guys do.

  8. Agreed--I'd actually rather have lost playing as well as we did than won playing as you guys did. Y'all played well, but we definitely looked like the better team and we play the same style. Plus losing that one will keep us from getting complacent, which is our biggest shortcoming. Have you checked out my game one recap?

  9. To heck with you and your team!!! Turco just stole that one from us!

  10. Hey, thanks for picking my story as your "Pick of the Day". I appreciate that. Sorry I haven't had a chance to read more articles than I'd like to but work and life sometimes get in the way of that. I just sent an email to the Wings front office, attached my resume and added a link to my "Profile" for them to look at. Maybe something will come from it maybe not. The worst they can say is Thanks but no, eh? I let you know the outcome. GO WINGS!!!! And go Dallas, beat those thugs (Oops, Ducks, I mean) Oh and watch for my next article later tonight or tomorrow. It might be a doozy.

  11. Hey Ian. No I haven't read any of your articles but I just want to tell you that I hope Dallas takes Anaheim 4 games to zero. The Ducks are a bunch of thugs. I just was able to watch the last period of game 2 (congrats by the way) and the ducks are just plain mean. And I meant to not capitalize their name they don't deserve it.
