Kentucky and Chicago sports motivate me year round. I am most passionate about the Cubs and Bears. I am disappointed year in and year out with how "we" manage our teams. The Bears look like they forgot how to throw the ball and they allow everyone else to show them how. I am impressed with Kentucky's football prospects. Travard Lindley and Jeremy Jarmin are coming back to help keep the defense in tact, and our prospects can look back on three straight bowl wins to help them make a decision. It seems smart, if I were a top prospect, to go to an SEC team where I could start immediately and not wait for the All American in front of me to get drafted or graduate. Basketball is on the up and up. Gillespie has at least 3 studs on the floor most of the time-Meeks, Patterson, and yes, Liggins although he hasn't matured yet.
The Cubs have another banner year laid out for them assuming pitching isn't an issue. The addition of Milton Bradley is huge. Hopefully he can take the pressure off of Fukudome, formerly being the only lefty in the lineup consistently. The farm clubs will offer a ton of talent as well. Micah Hoffpauer, Felie Pie, Mike Fontenot will all contribute at the plate and in the field. Samardja should be on his way to a big league mound near you soon.
