Joseph's Bio

This is a picture of me in the pressbox at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. Go Cats!

Favorite Teams: Valdosta High Wildcats, Florida Gators, Atlanta Braves, Valdosta State Blazers

While I mainly write about college football, I'm working on expanding my writing repertoire by writing about baseball and experimenting with some humor columns. In a nutshell, I'm always trying to improve my writing and I genuinely appreciate all comments and feedback.

  • Ruth or Mays?

    Mays. A more complete player.

  • Unitas or Montana?

Montana. A better leader with more titles.

  • Jordan or Russell?

Toss up. Jordan is the greatest player ever, but Russell was the greatest winner.

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Although I'm not much of a hockey fan, there's no arguing against Gretzky as the best of all time

  • Pele or Maradona?

Pele. No one's grace or talent at soccer could/can match his.

  • Federer or Sampras?

I think you have to go with Federer now that he's won the French Open.

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger, but I probably can't judge that fairly enough to make an informed decision.

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

Petty. While both have had lasting impacts on NASCAR, Petty really set the standard.

  • Schumacher or Senna?

Schumacher. I don't follow IRL and I know his name. That's pretty big, if you ask me.

  • Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

    SEC

Chien-Ming Wang collected his 1st win in 379 days. This puts him on pace to reach 300 wins on Oct. 21, 2263. Can it happen? Read why I am not ruling the tall Taiwanese right-hander out quite yet.

  6. Hey,

It’s been a very long time since I have extended an article of mine to the Bulletin Boards of my friends/fans, but this one is filled with the true venom and passion of a frustrated Yankees fan. The days of consistent success are over, and this baseball lifer is blaming Brian Cashman. Read how he has displayed the baseball knowledge of a little leaguer in assembling Yankee teams of the last 7 years.

I would love to hear your feedback on this one. Thanks everyone!

  7. Joseph,

Not sure if you're a college baseball fan, but here’s my latest piece about the College World Series.

The student-athletes play with youthfulness and excitement and it’s sad that college baseball doesn’t get very much recognition.

If you get the chance let me know what you think.
