Tom Brady was actually played better during the years when the Patriots failed to win Super Bowls. While Brady himself performed at a higher level, that was not always the case for the rest of his team. Despite not being as successful in terms of winning championships, Tom Brady as an individual became a better player.
Was he better for having been more productive or worse for having failed to reach the same levels of success? You be the judge...
I'd love to get your feedback!
I don't know why I'm doing this but...
I've really enjoyed the conversation we've been having on Eric's article. In regards to the potentially new-found hate you have of Peyton Manning, I wanted to share the following...
You likely know that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady get along quite well.
Manning even called Brady before he won Super Bowl XLI. I'm not sure if you knew this but, Manning actually personally called Brady after he injured his knee last season. Manning told Brady that he saw the play where he got hurt but refused to watch it again, it was too graphic for him to see a player like that go down. He said the rest of the conversation was basically them chating back and fourth pretending to be doctors, random stuff.
The reason why I brought that up is this. If you have an issue with me, or the articles I write, then reserve your hatred for me directly, I can accept that. But as you stated and as I'm trying to point out, Peyton Manning is a good person.
He even wrote a letter to Troy Brown after his retirement, thanking him for the way he played the game and the way he carried himself on and off the field. That's the kind of class Manning has. Feel free to not think the same of me, I really do try even if it doesn't come off that way.
But if your going to hate Peyton Manning, hate him because of the great rivalry we have. Hate him because of the 2006 AFC Championship game. But don't hate him because one of his fans writes things that you don't like.
Your bound to find writers who are fans of just about anyone who you might not really like. I'm sorry that I might be one of them. I just try to be passionate about my team and my quarterback.
Just something to think about,
Hey Jordan, I caught your response to my comment on Cody's article. So, I felt like giving a direct response.
I know it wasn't a big shock to see that I thought Manning should have been higher, I actually found humor in that statement because I know how I am.
You said you enjoy seeing me respectfully disagree but you think I'm fuming on the inside. Actually, I'm not. I don't get very animated when Brady is picked over Manning or vice-versa. The only time I really get excited is if their is a valid point in their defenses.
In this case, I respectfully disagreed for all of the reasons stated in my latest article. Anyways, I do like your comments. Your never anything but respectful when discussing these subjects and that is something to value in an age of personal attacks flying left and right.
Hey Jordan. Thanks for the pick man, greatly appreciated.
Wrote a Mock Draft, hope you take a look at it.
Let me know what you think.
A look back at last years super bowl last year, a good article for Giants and Pats fans
Hey Jordan-I really like your posting style. Keep up the good work-it's nice to have some help on the boards here from someone that knows their stuff.
My first sideshow!!
And as a Mets fan i think you will like it
I would like to know what you think
