For the past ten years since mid level high school, it's been all about sport, sport and sometimes current affairs for journalist and cricket fan Conant Masocha.

“I was a very curious child, and remain so as an adult, and thus feel adequately informed on most world issues especially George Bush, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Robert Mugabe.

“But it was statistical figures, not presidential figures and malefic dictators, that held the most fascination for me; and so I turned to mathematic and cricket to satisfy my curiosity.

“That I also turned out to be a decent writer in English was largely a manifestation of an early boarding school and decent supplies of a precious few novels.”

An accomplished journalist by his own right in his native Zimbabwe, Conant now lives in South Africa where he is trying to kick start his career. Any takers anybody?
