I am a broadcast journalism student at Syracuse University with a deep passion for college basketball and baseball. I ran my own website CuseAdelphia.com but it's dead now. As much as I enjoyed writing about Philadelphia and Syracuse sports, I wanted to expand on what I was writing about and I didn't feel like making a new website.

I currently write for B/R, Fox Sports, and StormingTheFloor.com which is one of the premier college basketball blogs in the country.

Duh, I didn't even think of that.

I'm guessing that having an specific area of the park where peanuts cannot be sold will become commonplace over the next few years. Seattle's set the precedent here, and hopefully other MLB teams will begin to take notice—with any luck the Phils will be next =)

Hang in there Jameson, I'm confident you'll get to the ballpark sooner than you think. In the meantime, keep working hard on those articles and sharing your unique perspective with the Community.

Haha thats great stuff. I remember at the games some students would cheer "CAPTAIN CAAAAAARNEY!" because, well let's face it, how many punters are team captains? He actually spent some of the past season on the Baltimore Ravens but it didn't work out. Then he got some CFL offers but he didn't want to do that. I think he's gonna go work in NYC.

Hey great stuff so far on Eagles training camp. My cousin played football at Syracuse you might know of him- Brendan Carney. So I'm a pretty big Orange fan and obviously, being from Philly, I'm a fan of Philadelphia sports. And it's nice to see another "CuseAdelphia" fan.

Jameson, write something that people get pissed at you for so I can defend you! haha I knew I would hear it from the Raider fans, I even said that in the article. I appreciate the back up on my article, contrary to what some people have posted on my previous articles, I don't just write contrarian things for attention. I basically just ignore comments like that.

I got into this long comment war over an article I wrote that mentioned Spygate for like a paragraph in a 1,000 word article and he freaks out. After that I decided to just ignore the negativity.

The Journal Sentinel in Milwaukee has a great sports blog and people comment on it all the time. The only thing the writers respond to are to make clarifications over things people are unclear about, never getting into it with people. Everyone has their opinion, that is what this site is about.

Just because I don't want to get into a train on the article...

Sean Allen made the same points in his daily notes post that I did today on Odalis Perez, Ricky Nolasco, and Dustin Pedroia. We basically made the same point on the White Sox, just in opposite ways (he said who is hitting below .200, I said who is above it).

I read your article on things to change with Bleacher, and I agreed with it. Seeing copied articles doesn't bring anything new to the world of sports writing. It certainly was not my intention.

(Here's what I posted on your very thoughtful article)

Thanks Everyone! We have heard you loud and clear both in this chain and in previous feedback pieces.

The issue of mixing together too many different TYPES of articles — i.e. Recaps, Previews, Editorials — is one that everyone agrees needs to be fixed.

The solution?

Now that people are able to identify their articles as Recap vs. Preview vs. Editorial, we are going to start separating them on the league and team pages. I can't tell you when this change is going to happen, but I can tell you that it's the direction we're heading in.

So in the future if you show up to the NHL Page, you will see one part of the page dedicated exclusively to Recaps, and a different section dedicated to analysis/editorials. If you want to read the Recaps, then read them. If you never want to look at them, you don't have to!

What are your thoughts on this idea? Feedback is always welcome!

Your article on the Bleacher Report is much needed. I wrote a huge analysis ( you can check it ) for the NBA Finals and all these people bashed me for being biased.

But then another guy writes a biased piece and he gets all these compliments. I then wrote an article revisiting his article, and he goes nuts and calls me a homer ( my analysis ended up correct ).

Anyway, my point is that there are a lot of mediocre writers ( I'll put myself in that category ) on here and there needs to be a better way of judging better analysis and content. I already noticed there's a boy's club hierarchy that is only solidified by members who joined this site first, and not necessarily with better content and agendas.

Your article was great. I actually have an idea for a weekly digest of sports. You'll love it, I promise.
