Andrew's Bio

So another festive period is fast approaching, my second here on Bleacher Report. I'm looking forward to everyone's holiday offerings.

Football has always been a huge part of my life and writing here on Bleacher Report is a real pleasure. As the community leader of the World Football section for the last year or so, I've seen it grow from the English Premier League section into the global debate it is today.

I can't believe that my interest in Bleacher is as strong today as it was 16 months ago and I can't wait to make up for time lost at University.

In June, I returned to Scotland from South Africa after 10 years in the football mad country. I've been around professional football at many levels in South Africa (sadly some people's knee's are better suited to a prolonged career) but now persue a career writing about the beautiful game (or any sport for that matter).

I also spent plenty of time at St Georges Park, Port Elizabeth, working with the Protea's and some of the best cricketers in the world.

I'm currently in the second year of my BA Journalism degree at the University of the West of Scotland. I already have a Journalism Diploma from South Africa.

Welcome to Bleacher Report and I hope you enjoy my work that includes my two current series...Hot or Not (a comic review of the latest Barclay's Premier League weekend), The Day I....(a look at snippets from my own short career) and my new transfer special, Deal or No deal (would I have taken the money, basically)?

I also contribute to frontlinefootball.com and rangersmedia.co.uk

My e-mail is scotinsa@hotmail.com
