Andrew's Bio

Football has always been a huge part of my life and writing here on Bleacher Report is a huge pleasure. As the community leader of the World Football section for the last 6 months or so, I've seen it grow from the English Premier League section into the global debate it is today.

I'm proud of the role I played in that transition and will continue to support our good friend Salaar as he aims to take us further.

I've recently returned to Scotland from South Africa after 10 years in the football mad continent. I played professional football at many levels in South Africa but now persue a career writing about the beautiful game.

Although I'm now busier, I'll do my best to turn in as many articles as possible in the future.

Welcome to Bleacher Report and I hope you enjoy my work!

  5. Hey Andrew,

I am fairly new around here and am just learning the ropes. You seem to be the person to talk to about all things football related!

I have just written an article on Ronaldinho - I was wondering what is the best way to differentiate it from the crowd? I think it offers quite an interesting view on the transfer, and so I would like to get the widest audience possible - but with so many other articles on the topic I feel it may be lost in the crowd!

If you have the time to look at it, it is at http://bleacherreport.com/articles/38338-ronaldinho-chooses-ac-milan-a-good-move-for-all-concerned

    Thanks for any help,
    Alex

  6. Andrew,

  8. Hey Andrew

Just wondering whether my latest article is worth a spot on the main pages? It's up to 1000 reads and almost 100 comments. Other than the odd idiot, it's a pretty good debate that I am enjoying with the Palace fans (those who are good natured about it).

I'm guessing this is due to the fact that it's on page 1 of Google under "John Bostock" and has by now found its way to at least one Crystal Palace forum.

  9. Alri Andrew

  13. Hey

just writing to tell you that I am no longer writing for Bleacher Report. I have embarked on several new ventures of my own and they are in direct conflict content-wise with BR.

Two of my blogs (mrflushing.com and blognyg.com) have been incorporated into the Yardbarker network and and a third one - ny giant nation - is being run by sportsblognet.com

I also bought into a sports video site that is in its infancy - smackcaster.com - which we are still developing....
