About

Having grown up as a baseball fanatic I am excited about returning to watching the San Francisco Giants this coming season. Buster Posey's parents live very close to my home. I have been following Buster since he began his high school career, his seasons at FSU, and even listening to the radio broadcast of this past fall Giants' minor league teams he played for.

Buster In just his second year is being invited to the Giants spring training camp in Arizona. I hope the Giants will give him a real shot to go to the majors this first year. And he can play more than one position on the team. So they should not eliminate Buster because they have more experienced catchers in front of him. He has played SS and third base with extremely quick agility.

I have seen Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, and Chipper Jones play early in their careers. Buster is in their league.

If the Giants want to have a marquee player for the future they need to promote Buster. He will help them pack the kids into the stands and they will bring their parents. Mark my word!

I look forward to exchanging some of my old baseball stories with the Bleacher Report members. One of the top stories was when I saw Mickey Mantle hit an inside the park homer in Yankee Stadium in the 50s.

I have begun a short new series to move onto a new topic for now. We are taking a look back of the 2006 NFL Draft. Part 1 is who has lived up to the expecatations within the top 15 picks. Appreciate any feedback given!

All the players I mentioned are hitting .300 or better with lots of RBIs. Buster Posey may have hit .500 for the month of June. But he is down to .321 at present with San Jose Giants. There has been recent talk from the Coach of the Giants that Buster may jump AA for Fresno AAA.

Player POS G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG OPS E

    Buster Posey C 68 249 50 80 20 0 11 48 133 37 39 6 0 .422 .534 .321 .956 2

I took notice of your advocaton. I was not aware we had someone in the organization batting .500. Did I read that correctly in one of your comments? I guess I should do my research.

Anyways, thank you for taking the time to read my piece.

    Hi Tom

Here is the sixth installment of my Cooperstown’s Best series, rating the shortstops. This will be my final “blast” for these articles. It makes me feel cheap to pimp my articles, so I gotta stop it. Take a look if you can.

    Hi Tom,

This is another article in my series: MLB History 101 –
It is the story of Moe Berg – an alleged spy for the CIA. Please give it a look if you can find time.
