David's Bio

Sup everybody the names David and I found Bleacher Report through a friend. I joined in Jan 09 just to leave comments — then it got addictive and I started writing.

I never liked writing anything in school, but I found that when it's a topic that you love—like racing—it's a whole lot easier.

I just had my first baby girl on Jan 5th 2009 (Kaili Madisyn), she is the cutest ever.

I'm originally from Galax, Va and now I reside in Elkin NC. I love sports and love the underdogs in sports.

I'm the lead writer and Community Leader for the ARCA Re/Max page (you should join). I love NASCAR, favorite drivers include: Paul Menard, Brian Vickers, and I think I'ma be a Speed Demon fan also this season. In the Nationwide Series my favorite would have to be Jason Leffler, "Little Gator" Justin Alligaer. In the ARCA Re/Max Series I'm going with Eddie Sharpe Racing and drivers Justin Lofton, Tim George Jr and Steve Arpin. In the Camping World Tucks im a Colin Braun and Tayler Malsam.

I'm also a die hard Steve Park fan and hope he gets back to the Cup Series some time. Also my favorite all time driver is Ol D.W. (Darrell Waltrip.)

I have had story's featured on cbssports.com and jayski.com

I also love college football. There is absolutely nothing better than a Thursday night at Lane Stadium on ESPN. You'd have to experience it to know what I'm talking about.

Also, cant forget I'm a closet Wrestling fan—oops its out now.

You can also visit me at my Myspace page. www.myspace.com/david1581

I also have interviewed the likes of Steve Arpin, Tim George Jr, they can be seen on a few different web pages

  2. This article was originally published in support of Relay for Life. If you have read this before, then I apologize, but please considering donating at least $1 to Make a Wish in the memory of Josiah Herring. In light of several recent events I felt compelled to revisit cancer awareness and have not had the time for a new article. I Promise to have a new article out soon in support of the cause.

    Thank you everyone!

  8. Well, you need to become a syndicated writer, that will help out in the reads and possibly comments along with that. You should already be one, e-mail Zander and ask why your not already.

    zander@bleacherreport.com

What I do to get reads is write about an interesting and/or popular topic. Like today, I wrote about Jeff Hardy, He is a guy many wrestling fans like and are interested in knowing more about, especially now with the whole contract controversy. People want to know about that kind of stuff, why I don't know. lol

The other day I wrote about the UFL, another interesting topic and something many football fans are interested in. It now has close to or is now at 5,000 reads. It even got syndicated on UFL.com! Which was cool to see.

You do that kind of stuff, your reads will move up faster than Seth Green's wrestling career ended.

    -Joe Burgett

  9. Here's part four of the Australian Wrestling Chronicles, which is also my entry for Matthew Hester's CvC competition. I think it's the best of the series so far.
