About

I'm an obsessed sports fan who is in serious need of another hobby. I graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey with a journalism degree. I'm a New York Giants fan and (unfortunately) still root for the Mets and Knicks. At least they prevent me from becoming too spoiled by the Giants' success.

After participating in the B/R Summer Internship Program, I am now a fantasy baseball Featured Columnist. That should help fill the parts of my day not spent updating all my fantasy teams.

A well-balanced human would have something other than fantasy sports to list here as an interest. What else do I have? Well, I guess I like short walks on pavement (who seriously enjoys long walks on the beach? The sand is hot and sticks everywhere) and watch way too much TV. Most of my time is spent on comedies (Parks and Rec, Community, 30 Rock, Always Sunny, Arrested Development), but I have seen the light and embraced Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

I've also taken a liking to Twitter once I realized that it's a socially acceptable way of talking to myself out loud. You can help me look a little more sane by following me.

That seems fair. I ended up denying that trade and got a new offer. Bryce Harper, Howie Kendrick and Will Middlebrooks for Adrian Beltre, Jose Altuve and Fernando Rodney.

I already have Addison Reed and Jason Grilli.

    Leaning toward taking that trade.

Hey Andrew, I've got a trade scenario for you. I'd be trading away Andrelton Simmons and Jose Altuve for Carlos Gomez and Howie Kendrick.

I have Jed Lowrie as my starting shortstop and I have good outfield depth already but I'm in need of RBI and have a lot of stolen bases I can trade away.

Interested in what you have to say on the trade.

Im in a keeper league. We get to keep 4 players and I got 3 but im still trying to find my 4th. Its between Asdrubal Cabrera, Josh Willingham, Jimmy Rollins, and Billy Butler. Probably not Rollins but the other three. What do you guys think? my three keepers are Chase Utley, Justin Upton, and Miguel Cabrera.

Andrew, I should have maybe listed this detail. But I should be able to get Romo, E. Manning, Ryan as one of my QBs. The RBs I would be selecting from would be B. Wells, Starks, Best, D. Brown. Would you still perfer Stafford as your QB? Or does this change who you would pick?

Andrew, got another quick question. Who would you rather have in a keeper league Stafford or T. Richardson? Pass TDs are worth 6 points. I have McCoy, Rice, Megatron, Julio Jones. Richardson would be my flex and eventual replacement for Ray Rice down the road. Who do you think I should keep?

As of right now I am leaning toward Stafford. However, I think I will let training camp hype and news soldify that choice or persuade me to keep Graham otherwise. I am having a hard time parting with Stafford, for the sheer fact that he is one of the only QBs in the league who I believe could give Rodgers a run for the number one spot in dynasty rankings. Probably Newton being the other based on his running ability. However, I would be lying if I didn't say I still have a little concern about him staying healthy. It was nice seeing him play a whole season last year, but not sure he has totally erased all concerns about his durability. Not to mention, it has always been my practice to never draft an elite QB in redraft leagues. Mainly, because I never wanted to use an early pick on one. Over the last several years I always had a lot of success drafting two QBs in the middle rounds who where in a position to breakout. This allowed me to address the RB (twice), WR (twice), then usually TE, QB, RB (flex), QB. Or some variation of the last three picks based on the QBs and flex RBs I was targeting. Anyhow, being in this keeper league now with the potential to have someone who could be a top 3 QB for the forseeable future, and given the other current high caliber players on my roster, I am thinking twice about essentually having an elite QB on my roster after the five keeper rounds and still having high caliber players I would not have ever gotten together in a redraft league. But then there is Graham. I personally, would not think twice about drafting him over Gronk this year. Graham coming into last year was still raw at playing the position. Even with the great season Gronk had last year, it seems like Graham has more long term upside and can be produce like a number one WR every year. I have high hopes on Jones and think he will be a top 3 WR no later than the end of the 2013 season. I could be wrong but I think based on his talent and situation everything is in place for that to be the case. With that said, I see having Megatron, Jones and Graham as being a ridiculous! I would have essentually three number one WRs on my team who would have a good chance of being top 5 WRs in any given year based on them staying healthy. Not to mention having Rice and McCoy as my RBs. Of course I see Rice being the first player needing to be replaced in the next two to three years tops. I would want to get those years out of him and hopefully trade him while he still has value. Anyhow, those are some of the things being tossed around my mind as I look at my team from an overall standpoint and as I contemplate their overall upside and potential with both Stafford on my team and or with Graham on my team. Obviosuly not know for certain what will become of Stafford and his health and Graham and his continued development and whether he will play with Brees for a large portion of his career truly makes my deceison pretty tough. I mean if Stafford gets hurt next year, I will regret big time especially if Graham is blowing up and setting TE records. At the same time, if Stafford ends up staying healthy and being a top two QB for the next 8-10 years and I kept Graham that would suck too! To bad I didn't have a fantasy magic ball!

My league scoring for QBs is 6 points per passing TD. As for me being able to get Romo or Eli might be a little tough. I mean there is a possibility but it might be Ryan or P. Manning. There is no doubt however, I will be able to get one of the four TEs mentioned.

I was very high on Stafford last year because of his upside if he would be healthy. I drafted him in four of five leagues. Two of those leagues are keepers and set me up with a very young QB, with a great supporting cast and great long term upside. I realize what I have in Stafford and glad I have him as an option as my keeper. But I am wanting to get your opinion because I also know what I have in Jimmy Graham as well. He too has youth, and in a great situation and more improvement to come. So who would you keep Stafford or Jimmy Graham? I currently have McCoy, Rice, Megatron and Julio Jones as locks. The fifth keeper would be either Graham or Stafford. If I kept Stafford I would be drafting a TE every year from the 2nd tier and have a good chance to be drafting one of these four (Gates, Witten, Hernandez, Davis) this year if I kept Stafford. If I keep Graham I would be drafting a QB every year from the 3rd tier of QBs and have a good chance to be drafting one of these four (Romo, E. Manning, P. Manning, Ryan) if I kept Graham this year. In light of my other four keepers and the players I would be looking at and the tiers I would be drafting from who ould you rather have as your fifth keeper?
