Born in Chicago, IL. I grew up on the south side of the city in a housing project called the Washington Park Homes. My first sporting event was a baseball game,
Hey Paul, Check this out and let me know what you think. Thanks.
Check out a Dwight Howard trade proposal from a Chicago broadcaster this week. I broke it down and I think it's a trade that works for both parties. It's a good enough trade for the Magic, that I'm almost hesitant on it from the Bulls side.

Love going back and forth with real fans that know their shit! Looking forward to more of ur posts
I'll ask you this.....
Had beasley been drafted by the bulls over rose with the roster you had at the time, do you have any doubt beasley would have gotten 20 and 8 easy?
take into account beasley's numbers as a rookie- 14 and 5 reb, 47% shooting, 41% from 3, 77% from the line. on only 11 shots.
Beasley's issues are purely mental and I honestly think that's the reason he wasn't taken first. He had one of the greatest freshmen years in history, but the bulls saw something that made them turn away and go with rose. It was a wise move on the bulls part, but saying beasley wasn't as NBA ready from a physical and skill standpoint is not hyperbole. To say rose was not as ready, taking into account position, is not a bad thing to say.
Ur a bulls fan, so surely, you remember that at the time Hinrich was an all-star caliber pg and Gordon was a 20 ppg scorer. Adding rose was unconvential and Beasley was a more natural fit. You have to understand the context of the draft.
I understand what you're saying, but I don't think you should take articles saying beasley was "more NBA ready" than Rose as Rose not being NBA ready. It comes down to body typein 99% of these situations. Anthony Davis sleight frame is a hinderince coming to into the NBA where most pf will out weight you by 30lbs. Beasley had an NBA body as a pf coming in addition to his skills and he wasn't playing pg, so yes he was considered more nba ready. Also, you can't take a qoute form Wade after they already lost the lottery and were stuck with beasley. He can't say something against his teammate.
I just think you taking this to literally. i know you want to defend your chi brethern, but no one is saying anything negative or contrary to the fact that davis has a bright future in the nba and will most likely be the first pick. All i'm saying is look at the guys he is most comparble to...KG and Bosh. Check their career path and you'll see that it thakes those types a little type to develop. A guy like Sullinger will be able to contribute day bcause of his body, but has nowhere near the ceiling of a davis or perry the third. I don't think you should take offense.
not exactly sure what u wanted me to notice, but I assume it's wade's comment about beasley...what exactly did you think he was going to say? "i wish we got Rose." Hahaha! No one said Rose was not "NBA Ready", only that beasley's offensive game was more nba ready, which was valid.
scouts said of rose-
John Calipari’s offense instilled an incredibly aggressive scoring/slashing mentality in Rose from a very early point in the season, but he’s also learned how to use his extraordinary talent to finish plays with advanced moves that he will surely need in the NBA as well. The fact that he is not showing any type of hesitation executing these moves despite the gigantic stage he’s playing on truly hints at great things that are in store for him in the future.”

no one of note said rose was not NBA ready and he would have been the first pick out of h.s. if he was able to go.
Hey Paul, I always appreciate your thoughts.
I wrote an article questioning Thibodeau's prolonged use of both Rose and Deng and the consequences it might have on the team down the line. Love to hear your opinion on it. Thanks.

Hey Paul,
I wrote an article comparing Derrick Rose to Michael Jordan, mainly on the similarities they share, which is surprising. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks.
