A writer from New Zealand. Predominantly focus on rugby but don't mind dabbling in basketball and cricket amongst others.
I played rugby predominantly as a lock throughout high school and in the top Under 21 competition in Dunedin until my injuries stopped me. Now playing basketball in the B Grade of the Dunedin Men's Competition, while also having played cricket, touch and athletics over the years.
I began writing for Bleacher Report early in 2009 and began to take it more seriously in 2010 after sustaining a season-ending back injury. Since then I have taken on roles with the Otago Daily Times, Stadium Journey, as well as contributing the occasional article to various other websites and publications. Recently graduated from the University of Otago with an Honours degree in Physical Education, with a focus on sports media.
Drop me a line if you want to discuss anything sports related.
No problem, Jeff!
Hi Jeff, would you mind cover (i.e. write the review or preview, and rate the performance of each player) each British & Irish Lions vs. Australian Wallabies game? You are only writer on Bleacher Report who understand, and write about the Southern Hemisphere rugby
You're welcome, Jeff! Keep up the good work.

Jeff I was wondering if you would consider doing a World XV or retired players over the course of the year. I feel it has been a pretty big year for retirees. As an Irish fan there was David Wallace, Denis Leamy, Shane Horgan and Welshman Shane Williams, SA Victor Matfield, NZ Brad Thorn to name a few
Jeff you did a world XV in 2010, do one for 2012! I'm curious at your opinion
Mate I've just been accepted into the BR writing programme having applied to focus on rugby and particularly the European side of the game. I've been reading your articles for a while now and like your style. I would love to get some tips and advice from you and maybe run a few article ideas by you. It'd be good to try boost the readership of the rugby section. You and Seth Gilliam seem to be fighting a bit of a lone fight and doing a great job at it.
Could you give this a read? Would be good to get an opinion from an Otago man http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1088065-otago-rugby-and-new-zealand-rugbys-need-to-go-commercial
