Oh, oops, wrong blog network.
Jennifer Taglione is a dedicated sports writer with over 10 years experience reporting on her beloved sports. Like baseball.
Oh who am I trying to kid? I'm not qualified to be a sports writer, nor do I claim to be one! I don't even think you can call me a sports fan. I was just a girl who happened to know a lot of random information about a variety of sports. Most of the time I didn’t utilize this information but there were these rare occassions when it came out, much to the shock of any guy in ear shot.
Until one day about five months ago, when someone told me I should start a girl's guide to sports blog for other girls like me. You know, the Stiletto Set kind of girls who think “watching sports” means watching Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. Turns out, I'm pretty good at it and I've actually come to really, really like it. And have been told I'm quite funny. Strangely enough, most of my fan base is sports fanatics that actually know what they are talking about, but find my take on sports... unique.
"Credentials"
Owner, founder, CEO, president, and sole content-maker for Stiletto Set Sports dot Com. Which is my Girl's Guide to Sports
I was coerced into writing about sports for 4 years in college for our school newspaper. We were very short-staffed on writers and no one wanted to write sports. I had a lot of friends on the teams so, lucky me, I was the chosen one. I learned a lot about hockey, rugby and softball. All of which I promptly forgot when I graduated. But after 15 years of sports exposure, some of it must have seeped into my brain because I will admit, I am full of all sorts of weird sports trivia.
I am an excellent researcher. So even when I'm too busy watching Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill to watch Monday Night Football, I know how to sort through the boring sports commentary to get the fun facts we need to know to survive the sports-dominated world around us.
I have also achieved pro status in Tennis, Golf and Baseball. On Wii Sports, anyway!
You can follow me on twitter @StilettoSportsJ! I finally figured out how to play with it!
where'd ya go?
