Matthew's Bio

Having been at the University of Massachusetts during the John Calipari years, I have totally fallen in love with College Basketball. I love the rankings, the bracketology and the single elimination tourney. The first four days of the tourney, when they go from 64 to 16 are greatest four days in sports.

In 2005, a group of seriously devoted East Village Hoopsters and I founded The First Church of Bracketology in New York City, which I was named the Reverend. We came together with a need to have friends who enjoy the hoops, the comradery, and making fun of JJ Redick's poetry. (Oh, and we make t-shirts...lots of them!)

I am also a devoted citizen of Red Sox Nation and have been since 1972.

While baseball and college hoops are my top sports, I do also follow ManUnited and the Hooligans of West Ham. Naturally, I follow the NE Pats (since I am from NE originally) but I started watching football when Tony Dungy was coaching at Tampa Bay, so I have a soft spot for those Bucs.
