Where Youk Ranks Among Beloved Sox

You know those people you always see in a coffee shop or library, furiously typing away at their laptops? I recently became one of those people.
I'm a 27-year-old Boston transplant living in Brooklyn (hence the coffee shop analogy). In January 2012, I decided to pursue a full-time career as a writer after nearly four years in the PR department at Sports Illustrated. I learned a lot and couldn't have had a better first job out of college - plus, I have some SI bylines on my resume. But I'm happy to be striking out on my own - slightly terrified, but very happy.
I'm a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan, but more than that I love sports and the stories they contain. It's my dream to be a writer who's able to convey those narratives in a captivating way. So here goes nothing...
Hey Chris, thanks for the mention in your most recent Pedroia article! He's definitely going to be a big part of Boston's potential playoff push. I actually just wrote an article on whether Boston should be concerned about his health or not since he still isn't hitting. If he doesn't get going, they might need to do something about it.
Good idea. I don't get to edit a lot of unique articles like that. They're fun to read.
You're welcome, Chris!
