I am an avid sports fan from the metro Detroit area. With my father being a hardcore Wing's fan, I became a hockey fan quickly. I was finally ready to give hockey a shot at the age of seven, but found myself crying my way off the ice fifteen minutes into the first practice. That was the end of my hockey career.
I eventually found my way onto the basketball court, baseball diamond, and my favorite place--The Gridiron. I played all three sports until I injured my medial collateral ligament during my Freshman year of high school. I then began to coach football not only to have some fun, but to giveback to my community that enabled me to partake in such a great sport. I concluded my third year coaching this past November.
Currently, I am a Senior grinding it out in the International Baccalaureate program. It's been a wild ride thus far, but well worth it. I'm eagerly anticipating the shift to college, where I plan on continuing to flourish academically and in extracurricular activities. I am considering the pursuit of a career in law, education, or journalism.
In February 2012, I was accepted into B/R's writer program. Although I have lived and breathed football since the age of 10, I write primarily about hockey. I find hockey to have the perfect balance of brutality and skill; hence, it is my favorite sport. Any hockey player can shoot a hoop, hit a baseball, kick a soccer ball, or throw a football. How many basketball, baseball, soccer, or football players can even skate? I pledge to deliver informative, yet entertaining articles to my readers and am grateful for the opportunity to do so.

No problem! That's what I'm here to do.
No I'm actually thinking about writing. What team should I write about? Tigers, Lions, or U-M football?
Do I smell a slappy, biased journalist?
Hey Ryan, how's Crosby's package? ;)
Hi Ryan, thank you for the message. I took note of the stupid mistake I made. It's obviously Sidney and not Sydney.
Enjoy the game on Thursday :-)
