Matthew's Bio

I am in my 3rd year at Georgia Southern University, Minoring in Writing, Majoring in Journalism. I am a very passionate sports fan, particularly a baseball fan. I am a diehard New York Mets fan, and am more than capable of providing opinion and analysis of them and probably most other teams.

  3. Matt Wise? Joe Smith is my man...he went to school with a friend of mine's daughter

he's a good kid and he's still developing...Matt Wise is a rag arm bum

  4. Matthew:

My bad. You asked about where I lived in Atlanta. I currently live in Fayetteville (southside). I've lived in Buckhead, Chamblee, Smyrna, Marietta, Kennesaw, and Suwanee beforehand.

  5. Matthew:

Hey. Funny you mentioned being a diehard Mets fan. I grew up in the Tidewater, VA area- home of the old Tidewater Tides, the long-time AAA affiliate for the NY Mets (and David Wright's hometown). Saw all of the old Mets come up: Darryl Strawberry, Mookie Wilson, Mike Scott, etc. I remember when now Twins manager, then Mets player Ron Gardenhire, was coming up. Still have some old Tides baseball cards!

Thanks for the props on writing. Wish I could write professionally; I am so burned out on being an artist, but it pays the bills and cares for my wife and kids! I may write something here soon. Keep in touch; I really would like to know what the writing market is like- especially since it would appear that the Internet has stolen so much thunder from publications.

  9. The word here in Flushing is Alou may end up playing some 1B so Pagan and Church can get more time

The consensus among bloggers is that Randolph is beginning to realize that Delgado cannot beat the shift that opponents use against him

  10. Thanks for the vote!

  11. Rollins is going to be fine—I'm confident in that statement.

And if your logic were true, you would have been on cloud nine last year with all the Phillies' injuries.

I would rather have both squads 100% healthy so the Mets won't have any excuses ;)

  12. You are the man...I like your optimism

Have you ever heard of Bruce Boisclair or Frank Taveras? Just for fun look them up

  13. Matthew...this team has disappointed me too many times.

I'd be shocked if they won the pennant this year.

The pitching's better, but the outfield is a mess, Delgado is finished and the offense in general is hurting.
