About Tim »

Die hard Calgary Flames fan and general hockey fan.

Born in Calgary Canada, apparently during an episode of Ed Sullivan. This upset my brother who had to drive Mom to the hospital.

Grew up playing hockey, and skated with the Oshawa Generals. A head injury ended any hopes of ever playing full-contact sports ever again when I was 17.

Single father of a wonderful son who has taken to hockey even more than his dad. He's a red-head, and ironically enough is one of Miikka Kiprusoff's biggest fans.

Creator/owner of WrestleTalkRadio.com, webcasts about wrestling, and WildTalkRadio.com, a variety webcast website, with regular programming. Check it out sometime: The site's ugly, but the shows can get addictive.

From 2006 to early 2008, created, edited and produced DVD's of the "new" Stampede Wrestling, as well as supplying play-by-play commentary a la good ole JR, if not as good....

I'll tell you this right now: I KNOW HOCKEY, and I KNOW WRESTLING! Want to duke it out with me on either topic, lets have some fun!

The Shortlist »

  • Favorite Athletes

Lanny McDonald, Henry Burris, Jarome Iginla, Brett Favre, Ken Dryden, Guy Lafleur

  • Favorite Sports Teams

Calgary Flames, Calgary Stampededrs, anyone playing either the Edmonton Oilers or the Vancouver Canucks

  • Favorite Coaches

"Badger" Bob Johnson, Darryl Sutter, Scotty Bowman, Tom Landry

  • All Time Sports Moment

My first live game between Detroit and Montral in the NHL at the old Olympia. Doug Risebrough scored the winner in a 2-1 game. After, I got my program autographed by all the Canadiens players.

  • Most Memorable Game Attended

Two of them: on my 19th birthday, getting Lanny McDonald's autograph at a game, while while he was sitting in the stands, and game 6 in 1984 when Lanny scored the overtime winning goal to force a game 7 against Gretzky's Oilers.

  • Most Unbreakable Sports Record

    No idea...lol

  • Ruth or Mays?

Ruth of course. Out of shape boozer, and he puts those #'s up[... Imagine if he was as fit as even Mays was, never mind today's athletes...

  • Unitas or Montana?

    Gotta go with Joe

  • Jordan or Russell?

    Grab some air!

  • Gretzky or Orr?

Tough call. Watched both play. Different postions kind of messes up this comparison... Gretzky

  • Pele or Maradona?

    Pele

  • Federer or Sampras?

    Dont really care...lol

  • Tiger or Nicklaus?

Tiger. He's a freaking golfing machine....

  • Petty or Earnhardt?

    Petty

  • Schumacher or Senna?

    Schu

Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to check out the show.

By the way, I work on gear reviews and other player-related stuff, so we should talk gear/gameplay sometime.

No problem, Tim. I was simply following B/R's guidelines for style when it comes to quotation marks. (http://bleacherreport.com/pages/styleguide#quotation) Not a big deal though, the author always has the final say!
