You are correct, they didn't play together. Bell played from '83-'87. Chizik only played in the '81 season. However, Chizik was around the program and was a 1985 graduate. It was a back injury that ended his career early. Rumored to have a great relationship with Bell since. Hence the tie to the Auburn job. My apologies for the error.
