The Short List facts and information about Jeremy Stanzel

Favorite Athletes

Active? I'll get back to that. For a non-active player, I'm going to say Curtis Martin. Great running back, but also a class-act. Of course, other non-actives include the Babe, Johnny U., Hank Aaron, Montana, Rice and many others.

Favorite Sports Teams

Jets, Yankees, Syracuse Orange (Men's basketball, but I watch their sad-excuse football team occasionally), Michigan Wolverines (Football), Rangers. Despite not being a big NBA guy, I tend to follow the Knicks if they make the playoffs... but that likely won't happen again until Dolan and Isiah are gone.

All Time Sports Moment

A few (I wasn't a sports fan until 2001, so don't critique my list): Jets climbing back from 2-5 to win the AFC East in 2002, and beating the Colts 41-0 in the playoffs. Watching the HR's off Kim in the 2001 World Series. Eli-to-Tyree followed by Eli-to-Plax. Let's just say I really hate the Patriots.

But number one goes to the Cards' World Series in 06'. I happened to be attending a media convention with a small group of students (all of whom I am friends with) and we fortunate enough to be there when they won. We didn't attend the game, but we didn't have to. The atmosphere in the city was crazy. The best. Never going to forget it. GO CARD-ANALS! (Nevermind.)

Most Memorable Game Attended

Pro? All the games I attended were blow-outs. This year however, I attended a Oswego-Fredonia game, a semi-finals matchup with the winner to play in the SUNYAC Championship. Oswego (my school) won 4-1. The crowd atmosphere was great.

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

Bob Gibson's 1.12 ERA and Johnny Vander Meer's back-to-back no-hitters.

Seriously, three no-hitters in a row will never happen.

Ruth or Mays?

Ruth.

Unitas or Montana?

Gonna have to go with Montana. Tough to go against Johnny U. though.

Pele or Maradona?

Pele.

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

Big 10 football and Big East Basketball is where it's at.
