Fail to the Deadskins

I am a recent graduate of Elizabethtown College right outside of Hershey, PA. I was born and raised in Washington D.C. I went to St. Johns College High School in D.C for 3 years before transferring to The Gunnery, a boarding school in Washington Depot, CT.
I graduated from Elizabethtown in May 2009 with a B.A in Communications. I amprobably the biggest sports fan I know. Sports basically take up the largest portion of my brain's intake. I played college lacrosse for 3 years and played basketball in high school for 3 years. I also wrestled in high school for one year. I have played lacrosse for almost 9 years, and played all four years in high school, earning all- conference as a goalie my junior and senior year and was a member of the All-New England second team my senior year. I dabbled in combat sports throughout my life, most recently in the summer of 2006, when I competed in amateur MMA andI went 2-1 under amatuer fight regulations. I won by TKO and decision and lost via submission due to arm triangle. Since then I have become a MMA superfan. I watch every UFC PPV and I frequently post on www.sherdog.net
I am a diehard Georgetown Basketball fan. Nearly my entire extended family went to Georgetown, and I have been to nearly 100 Georgetown basketball games in my life. I love the Georgetown Hoyas basketball program more I probably should love my family, but it is because of the programs history and legacy that I hold the team so dear to my heart. My dad grew up watching them and was an avid fan during the glory years of the mid 80s and it passed down to me as I watched Alonzo Mourning and Allen Iverson in the mid 90s. The passion was restored with JT3 and it has fueled my love for G'Town and college basketball even more.
Now that I am done playing copmetative sports, I am currently pursuing a career in sports broadcasting. I work for Sporting New Radio 1350 WOYK and 1600 WPDC stations outside the Harrisburg area covering and broadcasting high school football, basketball, and lacrosse games, providing play-by-play. I also worked for ECTV40 at Elizabethtown College as color commentator for mens and womens basketball games.
This past summer i worked as an intern for the Washington Bayhawks professional lacrosse team. i worked in the gameday operations/ player personel department. I am actively pursuing a career in sports broadcasting and/or sports information.
I am currently a contributing author/editor for http://www.ballinisahabit.blogspot.com. I truely believe that March Madness is the greatest sporting event of the year, and selection sunday is my favorite day of the entire calender, beating out my birthday, thanksgiving and christmas.
