  1. When you're drafting that high, you can't worry about who's already on your roster. Your roster probably stinks. You have to draft the best guy. They had McFadden as the best guy. Therefore, it was a great pick.

Besides, their runningbacks were all either hurt or drunks. I'm not banking anything on any of those guys. McFadden is going to be a fantastic player.

  2. I sucked up my pride and put the Raiders in my list of draft winners.

Congrats on getting McFadden. He makes your offense instantly better.

Even if I would have taken Dorsey. :)

  3. Hey, Rob

View my analysis on the New Madden 09 and what I think of Favre in the cover, its pretty hilarious.

Maybe even Pick of the Day worthy. Remember vote for it.

  4. Thanks for participating in Bleacher Reports’ official NFL mock draft.

I posted the article in two parts. Right now, the formatting is a little screwed up, but between Ryan and myself, hopefully we’ll get that resolved soon.

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think. I think it came out pretty good.

    Thanks again for participating!

    -Sean

  5. Just a reminder: The Official Bleacher Report Mock draft is on for Saturday at 2pm EST.

To get into the chat room, just go here: http://breport.campfirenow.com/6b732

All you have to do is enter your name. We'll start the draft as soon as everyone's logged in and ready.

If you missed it, the teams for each participant were drawn last weekend and are posted below on your Bulletin Board.

Looking forward to the draft. Should be fun!

    Thanks,
    Sean

  6. Rob,
Thanks for coming to my defense. I'll have to write some kind of make-up article before the NFL season begins.

Hopefully people calm down and see the contest for what it is--just sports fans having fun. But yeah, I'm not a fan of how they handle the contests with the "most reads" rule... I'd rather people vote or something. I think it will bring out better quality stuff. I might email the suggestion to Zander or Trey, see what they think.

On the draft - I posted the info below(it's a few posts down)...what teams you have, etc. It's scheduled for 2pm EST on Saturday, so much earlier than you hoped. Hopefully you're still good to make it.

I'll send out the link to the chat tomorrow.

    Thanks,
    Sean

  7. Hey Rob,
You got that the entire Raider article was a big joke, right? I get the impression that everyone took it as 100% serious...

I just figured I owed Raider Nation one after they killed me in my mock draft. :)

    -Sean

  9. Just wanted to fill you in on the mock draft plan.

I’m going to do a random draw for teams this weekend. So if you want to actually make picks, please let me know before Sunday morning (unless you already have, then don’t worry about it).

The plan right now is to hold the mock draft in a chat room on April 19th at 2:00 PM EST. Please let me know if this works for you. Depending on everyone’s availability, we may move the time around a bit. I’ll send out the chat room info and the exact time it’s scheduled towards the middle of next week.

The format will be like this:

I’ll announce that the Dolphins are on the clock, whoever is making their pick will make it and give their reason for the pick. Everyone else will get a few minutes to comment on the pick. Then we’ll announce the next team in on the board.

I’m not sure yet if we’ll put all of the comments in the article (I would like to), it depends on how long it ends up. We may end up having to select the best comments for each pick.

I’m looking forward to working with you, should be great!

Email me at scrowe@gmail.com or post a comment on by bulletin board if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    Sean

  10. no problem, just doing my job, as a reader.

  11. It was a very entertaining note. I laughed while reading it. Keep up the good work.

  12. No prob, Rob. I can assure you—you spoke for all of us.

  13. Hey man, loved your piece on Matt Leinart. Keep up the good work!

  14. Hey Rob,

I'm hoping you'll check out my latest article about China, the Olympic games, protests, and our own responses to these current events. I'm making a concerted effort to reach out to people who have added me as a "favorite writer" to attempt to spark a discussion which affects us as sports fans and supporters of a forum for free-speech. Thank you for helping me to get the ball rolling!

You can find the piece here: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/16634

Please leave comments on your feelings and opinions.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

  15. Great!
